Quickly Approaching for Half of Florida’s Physicians to Renew Their Medical
License
In October, the Florida
Board of Medicine sent out license renewal reminders to those Florida
physicians whose medical licenses must be renewed by January 31, 2009. For
first time renewers, or if you did not keep a copy of your 2007 renewal, click here to access your license information,
create a new password and renew your license now online. For login assistance,
call the Department of Health Help Desk at (850) 488-0595 and choose option 3.
For other questions, call the Board of Medicine at (850) 245-4131. Do not hesitate to contact the DCMS should you have
any difficulties with licensure or issues involving the Board.

Robert Nuss on his appointment to the Florida Board of Medicine. Dr. Nuss serves on the

The 2009 Legislative Session
begins Tuesday, March 3, 2009, and the Florida Office of Legislative Services is looking for physicians to participate in the
legislature's Doctor of the Day program. The legislature needs two physicians
for each day of the legislative session, one for the House of Representatives
and one for the Senate. If you are interested in serving as Doctor of the Day,
please contact Althea Houston with the Florida Office of Legislative Services
at (850) 488-6803. The 2009 Legislative Session is scheduled to adjourn Friday,
May 1, 2009.
