DCMS News You Need to Know

In this Issue:
Health System Reform
The Duval County Medical
Society supports meaningful health system reform and recognizes the quickly
evolving Congressional debates surrounding the issue. The DCMS Board of Directors has approved Patient Centered Health
System Reform Principles critical to reform. While organized medicine may not agree on all
the specific reforms being proposed, the DCMS believes that these principles
represent the crucial issues that must be addressed in any significant health
system reform package. DCMS leaders are
sharing these principles with our local Congressional representatives. We encourage you to discuss these principles
with your patients and contact your elected officials as we work to improve
health care delivery, not reinvent the system. Visit the DCMS website for
additional Health System
Reform resources. Questions or
comments can be emailed to jmillson@dcmsonline.org.
