Join healthcare providers and community leaders as we dive into Northeast Florida's most concerning health issues and work toward unified solutions at the DCMS Annual Meeting & 3rd Annual Future of Healthcare Conference.
One of the most important issues we will tackle at the 2019 Future of Healthcare Conference is mental healthcare on the First Coast. We will examine access to treatment, combating stigma, and other challenges that patients and caregivers face with mental health diagnoses. We will also take a deeper look at mental health within the medical community with documentary film producer Robyn Symon, and a screening of her documentary film Do No Harm.
The 2017 and 2018 Conferences focused on food deserts and gun violence in Jacksonville. This year, we will demonstrate how the work of this Conference and the DCMS Foundation has led to major public policy changes in Jacksonville, and outline our plans for continuing engagement in these areas. The Conference will also feature keynote presentations from the Presidents of the American Medical Association and Florida Medical Association. We’ll recognize the Duval County Medical Society’s 2019 Award Winners and host a poster presentation featuring some of the top research being performed by First Coast physicians. The inauguration of the 2019-2020 DCMS President and Officers will also highlight this event.
Attendees include healthcare professionals, non-profit organizations, health & wellness directors from local universities, city & state political leaders, area businesses, and anyone who is interested in making a difference in the local health environment! We need YOUR VOICE to make a difference!
