Local healthcare organizations welcome new executives

Two local healthcare organizations have announced new executives.
Volunteers in Medicine welcomed Jennifer Ryan as Chief Executive Officer on October 1. Ryan is responsible for providing leadership of the organization’s medical operations, program development, staff and volunteer management, as well as fundraising. Ryan most recently served as the Executive Director of the Ponte Vedra YMCA. Prior to that, she held positions with the Centers for Disease Control, Duval County Health Department, and Northeast Florida Healthy Start Coalition.
Founded in 2003, Volunteers in Medicine is a free healthcare clinic that provides outpatient primary and specialty medical services to Northeast Florida’s WORKING, low-income, uninsured individuals and their families.
Also on October 1, Drug Free Duval welcomed Sally Finn to the role of Executive Director. Finn has bedo you en with the organization for many years, previously serving as Community and Development Director. She takes over for Susan Pitman who will remain a member of the Board of Directors.
Drug Free Duval is a community coalition comprised of residents, providers, advocates and educators all working together to prevent and reduce substance abuse and underage drinking in Duval County.
