The former Jacksonville Art Museum in Midtown Centre will soon become a Healthcare Innovation Center.

Dr. Ashraf Affan, Founder and President of Angel Kids Pediatrics, purchased the property at 4160 Boulevard Center Drive in Midtown Centre on Dec. 4.

Dr. Affan envisions the building’s open floor plan as an ideal environment for a “think tank.”  Dr. Affan's Concept for the innovation center is a collaborative place that connects innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry.  His vision is To Disrupt and Reshape the Healthcare Industry by creating an environment that challenges problems of cost, quality, safety, outcomes, access, and patient engagement.

In addition, the 30,355-square-foot building will have multi-purpose functions and services and be Headquarters for the Administrative offices of Angel Kids Pediatrics which has a team of over 20 providers and 104 employees working together to deliver high-quality care for over 20,000 Jacksonville patients, ranging from newborn to 18 years of age.  Dr. Affan also intends to have the building function as a community center, will contain a full kitchen, offer tutoring for children, and provide space for other opportunities to engage with the community.  Affan plans to open the facility in the first quarter of 2019.
