State of Florida renews Declaration of Public Health Emergency for Hepatitis A

State Surgeon General Scott A. Rivkees, MD has renewed the renewed the Declaration of Public Health Emergency for Hepatitis A.
The declaration was originally issued on August 1, 2019 and was renewed on September 30, 2019 and November 27, 2019.
As of January 22, 2020, there had been 3,498 reported cases of Hepatitis A in the State of Florida since January 2019, resulting in 2,717 hospitalizations and 55 deaths.
Rivkees renewed the declaration on January 24, 2020.
