The following is an announcement from Ascension St. Vincent's:
Arlington residents now have access to a new emergency room right in their own neighborhood. Ascension St. Vincent's opened its new emergency room last week, near Monument Road and I-295 at 9820 Hutchinson Park Drive.
It's open all day, every day and provides the same services as a hospital-based ER. The 13,000 square foot facility cost about $15 million to build and the health system created about 45 new jobs to staff the facility.
Ascension St. Vincent's selected the location based on a data-driven analysis of where emergency services were most needed in our community.
COVID-19 safety precautions are in place, just as they are with all of the health system's sites of care.
Ascension St. Vincent's is opening another new emergency room, off Collins Road on the Westside later this summer.
