The following is a news release from Wolfson Children's Health Center:

Who: In this time of uncertainty, community partners across Jacksonville are uniting to put children’s health first at the Drive-Thru Back to School Bash. Families will have the opportunity to learn about health resources available through Wolfson Children’s Health Center at Jean Ribault High School, a school-based health center created to give students in underserved communities access to health care. The center is supported by Duval County Public Schools, the Duval County Department of Health, Sulzbacher Center and Full Service Schools of Jacksonville. The Back to School Bash is sponsored by Wolfson Children’s Health Center and the Jean Ribault High School Class of 1985.

What: Child health is our top priority, which is why this year’s Back to School Bash will be virtual. Students and their parent/legal guardian will be able to drive through the event to receive a free backpack and school supplies, along with a face mask (while supplies last). Each attendee will receive a hot dog, chips and a drink, while supplies last. The event is free and open to the community. Families will also receive educational resources to take control of their health, including information on enrolling children in health insurance and asthma education. Students must be present to receive supplies and food.

When: Saturday, August 1, 2020
            9 am – noon

Where: Wolfson Children’s Health Center
              Ribault High School
