St. Vincent’s Health Centers Opening Soon

Jacksonville, FL (March 14, 2017) – St. Vincent’s HealthCare, part of Ascension, the nation’s largest Catholic and non-profit health system, will open its first health center on March 17 in Mandarin. The facility will provide easily accessible, essential healthcare services including urgent care, primary care, imaging, and lab services in one convenient location.

The Mandarin health center, located at 10503 San Jose Blvd, will be the first facility of its kind to open in Northeast Florida. The second location will open in St. Johns County along County Road 210 in early November. St. Vincent’s also has preliminary plans for several additional health centers throughout Jacksonville.

“The St. Vincent’s Health Center concept is driven by our thoughtful, patient-centered strategy to make it easier for an ever-increasing number of individuals throughout our community to receive the care they need in the most convenient and affordable way possible,” said Tom VanOsdol, interim president & CEO of    St. Vincent’s HealthCare. “If you have an emergency, you belong at a full-service ER attached to a hospital with all its resources. However, if you have a condition or injury that can be safely treated in an outpatient facility, our health center will provide the same level of care as a freestanding emergency department at only a fraction of the cost. We believe delivering the highest quality care in the most convenient locations at the most appropriate price creates the highest value for our patients, and it’s simply the responsible thing for St. Vincent’s to do in accordance with our healing Mission.”

An open house for the Mandarin location is scheduled forThursday, March 16 from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. Members of the media are invited to attend, but a separate media tour will also be available on March 16 beginning at 9:45 a.m. Please RSVP to Kyle Sieg by 8:00 a.m. Thursday, March 16 if you’d like to attend.
