3rd Annual Future of Healthcare Conference

PRIME OSBORN CONVENTION CENTER

Join healthcare providers and community leaders as we dive into Northeast Florida's most concerning health issues and work toward unified solutions.

Be a part of the First Coast’s most impactful public health conference as healthcare leaders from around the country come to Jacksonville on October 7th and 8th, for the 2019 Future of Healthcare Conference. This 2-day event brings doctors, politicians, nurses, non-profit leaders, patients and volunteers together to participate in this annual conference that focuses on directly impacting on the health of our community.

One of the most important issues we will tackle at the 2019 Conference is mental health care on the First Coast. We will examine access to treatment, combatting stigma, and other challenges that patients and caregivers face with mental health diagnoses. We will also take a deeper look at mental health within the medical community with documentary film producer Robyn Symon, and a screening of her film Do No Harm.

The 2017 and 2018 Conferences focused on food deserts and gun violence in Jacksonville. This year, we will show how the work of this Conference and the DCMS Foundation has led to major public policy changes in Jacksonville, and outline our plans for continuing engagement in these areas.

The Conference will also feature keynote presentations from the Presidents of the American Medical Association and Florida Medical Association. We’ll recognize the Duval County Medical Society’s 2019 Award Winners, and judge a poster presentation featuring some of the top research being performed by First Coast physicians. The inauguration of the 2019-2020 DCMS President and recognition of the DCMS 2019 Award Winners will also be highlights of the event.

Confirmed Speakers include:
AMA President Patrice A. Harris, M.D.
FMA President Ronald Giffler, M.D.
UF Health Jax College of Medicine CEO Leon Haley, Jr., M.D.
DCMS Foundation President, Sunil Joshi, M.D.
FIU Associate Dean Pedro Greer, M.D.
Film director Robyn Symon
Baptist Health Senior Vice President Timothy Groover, M.D.
Community development consultant Tony Brown
… AND MORE!

** Official agenda will be available closer to the event.
