According to her, seeing patients as people is crucial, especially during a cancer diagnosis. 7/1/2015Beyond Our BackyardElizabeth DeVos, MDIn the last 10 years, Dr. Elizabeth DeVos has visited Ethiopia 10 to 15 times to train doctors in emergency medicine. She has also visited Paraguay and India five to six times. In Paraguay she helped strengthen the ambulance system and worked to improve pediatric emergency care in the region.
