Planned in tandem with UNF's Annual Healthcare Symposium, the 2023 Future of Healthcare Conference will be on October 26 at the UNF Herbert University Center in Jacksonville. We'll hear from top-level speakers, conduct panel discussions, and bestow the annual DCMS Awards. The Conference tackles the top prevailing health issues in Northeast Florida, and compares those – and their solutions – to what’s happening on state and federal levels. The inauguration of the 2023-2024 DCMS President will also be a highlight of this event! Click here for more information on the conference, and here to see the available sponsorship opportunities.
The DCMS hosts regular Membership Dinners and periodic CME Dinners to provide educational opportunities for members, along with an opportunity to network and enjoy a meal with colleagues. Previous topics have included physician wellness, the opioid epidemic, medical technology, and cognitive errors in Medicine. Email Payton Coulter to ask how to get on the calendar as a membership dinner sponsor.
The DCMS-Navy Dinner serves as a forum for presenting important issues relevant to both the private sector and our local naval institutions, particularly Naval Hospital Jacksonville. It also serves to strengthen the bond our collective groups share and allows us the opportunity to recognize those civilians and service members who have contributed to our successes over the past year. The 2023 event has not yet been scheduled.
Join physicians, their families and staff from Northeast Florida healthcare organizations and the DCMS Team as we cheer on the Jacksonville Jaguars! Casual networking is the order of the day as we gather for lunch, cold beverages and pre-game entertainment.
Available to residents and fellows of all levels, our “Life After Residency and Fellowship” seminar offers training on personal and practice issues, such as negotiating employment contracts, managing debt, selecting malpractice insurance, and more. The 2023 event has not yet been scheduled.
What all residents and fellows need: an evening off, cold beer, and free pizza! We gather our local docs-in-training quarterly at area fun spots known for great beer and relaxed environments! Great event series for networking and building relationships with young physicians.
Each year, a group of aspiring physician leaders take place in the DCMS Leadership Academy. Sponsoring organizations have their logos placed on the binder covers and their marketing materials inside the binders.
