We Care Jacksonville, Inc. (We Care) was organized in 1993 as a collaborative effort of the Duval County Medical Society, Duval County Health Department, George S. Trotter, MD, local churches, hospitals, and community organizations to provide donated healthcare to low income persons. The organization is now an independent 501c(3) organization that has evolved into a community partnership of healthcare professionals, community volunteers and health systems. Through donations of time, skills and services, We Care is able to provide medical specialty care to those who either lack access to care or cannot afford healthcare services. Service Eligibility:
Residency: Must be a resident of Duval County Income: Income at or below 200% of poverty level as defined by the Federal Government Uninsured: Patient carries no applicable insurance Patient Services:We Care receives referrals from a network of primary care clinics and arranges appointments with appropriate medical specialists who have agreed to donate their services to patients.
